What to expect @ FBBC

Many people often wonder what to expect when visiting a church for the first time. In an effort to make your visit as anxiety free as possible, we've answered some of our most commonly asked questions below.

If you have any further questions prior to your visit, please contact our church office.

We look forward to seeing you!

When should I arrive?

Sunday School:

Guests typically arrive 10 minutes prior to class time at 9:20 am. This provides ample time to park and to drop off any children. Of course, if you are running late, please feel free to join us at any time throughout the class.

Information on classes and meeting locations can be found here.

Worship Service:

Our morning worship services begin at 10:45 am. Guest typically arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to service time. This provides ample time to park and to drop off any children. Of course, if you are running late, please feel free to join us. After 11:00 am we ask that you use the Main Street entrance as ushers are available at that entrance to assist you with seating.

What should I wear?

There is no particular dress code. It is not uncommon to see a person wearing shorts and flip flops sitting beside someone wearing a suit and tie. Please dress comfortably.

How is your service structured?

Worship @ FBBC

The worship portion of our service is a blend of both classic hymns and contemporary songs. Our morning worship time tends to be more traditional and is led by our Music Pastor Todd Austin while our evening worship time is more contemporary and led by our praise band.

Child care @ FBBC

We provide child care during each of our Sunday services as well as our Wednesday evening service. Child care is available for children from birth to age five. Our teachers provide crafts, Bible studies, games and snacks to our children during the worship service. We take great care in providing a clean environment that is both inviting and fun for your child.

Upon arrival, please tell our ushers that you wish to place your child in our child care program. Our ushers will escort you and your family to the appropriate classroom.

We realize it is hard for parents to leave their children with strangers. We encourage you to stop by and visit with your child's teacher prior to our service.

All of our teachers undergo a background check before they are allowed to work with our children. Your child’s safety is very important to us!

Parking @ FBBC

We offer ample, handicap accessible, curbside parking on Main Street and Maple Drive. Our elevator is located just inside our Main Street entrance for our guests who wish to avoid stairs.

We also provide parking in the rear of our sanctuary. A covered, drive under, entrance is provided in our rear parking lot, just off Railroad Street. Guests can utilize this or one of several other entrances located at the rear of our sanctuary to gain access to the building. Or, please feel free to take the sidewalk, located on either side of the building, to use our primary entrance located on Main Street.

We found FBBC.

We love First Baptist Church. It is truly a church that has a passion for biblical preaching and community outreach. There are excellent children and youth programs that focus on growing their Christian faith. The warm, friendly environment centers your worship on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Josh & Jordan

We love the old-fashioned spirit of friendship and love we've experienced at First Baptist Church. It's good to know there are still people out there who value honesty and trust.

Jason & Kara

We love our church because it is warm, friendly, loving, giving and accepting of others. We honor every age group from babies to the elderly. It is so much fun to minister in the sound and music areas where we feel God has called us.
